You don’t need everything but the more you get together now, the easier it will be when your Offer is accepted and your lender start asking for these. To Start

  • Social Security number
  • A few recent paycheck stubs (one months worth)
  • Last years tax return with your W-2s

All the Documents

  • Tax returns with W-2s for the last two years or business tax return forms if you’re self-employed
  • Documents to verify any additional income, such as child support or a pension
  • Any loan payment amounts including lender, loan number and payments (such as car loans and student loans)
  • Two current bank statements or credit union statements for checking and savings accounts
  • Brokerage/Stock account statements
  • Most recent 401(k) or other retirement account statement
  • List of any other major assets of value, such as a boat, RV, or stocks or bonds not held in a brokerage account
